FDA has approved fezolinetant

The FDA has approved fezolinetant (Veozah—Astellas Pharma, US).

The drug is a first of its kind nonhormonal therapy for treating menopausal hot flashes. According to the manufacturer, the medication targets a neuron in the brain that is affected by declining estrogen levels.
