WSU Reduces Tuition To Attract Pharmacy Students
Washington Needs More Pharmacists, WSU Reduces Out-of-State Tuition To Help
In an effort "to remedy the acute pharmacist shortage in the state," Washington State University is lowering the out-of-state tuition for students pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree by 30%, or roughly $12,000. This 4-year PharmD program is based in Spokane, WA; however, the college also has a facility in Yakima.
A 2022 assessment from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy ranks the state fourth for having the largest need for pharmacists.
In their May 22nd WSU news release, the college reports that pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at WSU will be one of the most economical choices on the West Coast. The WSU tuition reduction will take effect in the fall of 2023.
